The Anchorage is a faith-based treatment program for men living with addictions to drugs or alcohol. Clients at this center progress through two phases of treatment. In the first phase, which lasts 120 days, clients focus on their personal issues. This phase of the program includes daily assigned work duty, Bible study, counseling, and 12-Step classes. Written communication with family and friends is permitted, but no other outside communication is allowed. Once clients graduate on to the second phase of treatment, they are required to have an AA or NA sponsor and attend at least three 12-Step, AA, or NA meetings every week. The men are permitted to find employment in the area, and outside communication is allowed.
