It provides a medication-assisted treatment program, using medication, such as methadone, to reduce drug dependency and offers behavioral counseling to get to the heart of why addiction happened in the first place. It also helps to develop strategies for patients going forward, so they don’t relapse. Handling co-occurring disorder is essential for addicts because without treating the underlying reasons behind their addiction, relapse is likely. Each patient goes through a comprehensive assessment, followed by the creation of an integrated plan that takes a holistic approach to addiction.
